Q: What’s your favorite city to visit?

A: My favourite place I’ve ever visited was San Diego...didn’t go to Sea World though ;( #savetheseaanimals

Q: Favorite Movie?
A: It’s a Bollywood movie called Kal Ho Naa Ho (It’s your classic Indian love triangle, running through the fields, kind of story)

Q: Favorite Youth Ministry moment?
A: At our in:town retreat last year, we went to Monster Mini Golf, and I remember seeing students playing one of those scam games that no one ever wins, and they were trying to put a key through a hole so that they could win one of the cool prizes (iPad, iPod Touch, Galaxy Tab, Nintendo DS). I thought to myself I need to get these kids away from this machine because they are going to waste all of their money. I walked up and the students began chanting my name… and all of a sudden I WAS ALSO PLAYING THE GAME! 🤦🏾‍♂️ After about my fifth try I ended up winning the Nintendo DS and felt SO AMAZING.. this is where my gambling addiction began. Haha… JK.

Q: What’s your least favorite fast food joint?
A: I’m not a fan of taco anything, taco bell, taco time. If I am going to test my stomach with some mexican food it’s gotta be authentic.

Q: Any pet peeves?
A: I’m going to start by saying, I am far from a clean freak, but my body begins to shake when I see a messy desk. 😱 Specifically when my desk is messy haha.

Q: What’s the biggest mistake you ever made in ministry? What’d you learn?
A: So many to choose from...I’ll give you two :)

Not-so-serious: When I was younger, I let one of our youth boys drive my car in the parking lot (he didn’t even have his learners) almost crashed the car because he didn’t know which pedal did what… never again!

Serious: I once ruined a relationship with a volunteer because I somehow missed scheduling them to volunteer for our weekend ministry. When I finally realized my mistake it was months later (we send out a semester's worth of dates at a time). They didn’t come back to volunteer and that was when I started to realize how important it was to have a follow-up system in place for volunteers, and also to double check EVERYTHING before you send it out.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of youth pastoring?
A:  I love hanging out with friends, I am an extrovert to the highest degree.. I actually score 99% on every personality test when it comes to being extroverted. Now my introverted girlfriend will tell you how much she “loves” this quality in me xD.

Q: What’s the best event you’ve ever done with students?
A: We did a giant nerf war at our church, if you haven’t done one of those you need to, it was probably the most fun I’ve had since I was in youth myself.

Q: What’s your biggest ministry struggle at the moment?
A:  How to figure out what are the important things to put my time into. There is always so much you can do, but prioritizing is hard for me.

Q: If you could gather all the youth pastors in our province in a room, what would you want to say to them?
A: Remember what you do will last forever, the impact you have is for eternity, not just a moment or a few years while you are pastoring. Forget about money, and counting hours, find that passion to serve Jesus with your life and you won’t regret it… Sounds nice when you write it out like that but doing it is a lot harder.

Q: Is there something that the youth pastors of the province can be praying towards for you?
A: Pray for my family, I’m the only Christian in my family, and sometimes I do a poor job of showing them who Christ really is, pray for strength and for courage to stay bold in my faith.

Q: Where can people connect with you online?
A: @harmansharda <- on everything.
